I found those ties at target a few weeks ago. Sadly I did not get any of the because am too cheap and they were not anywhere in my price range. Granted that they were not too expensive. Only $20. Still I did not get them because I know very well that I can get similar ties for much less than that. All one has to do is look in the right places and you will find overlooked treasures.
For example, you can go to Ross where they sell discounted brand name clothing. If you are lucky you can to Ross in the hood where all the good stuff is overlook. That is what I do :D
Also second hand stores are a very good place to find good vintage stuff. I do not shop there enough because I always get caught up on the whole store ambiance that those retail devils create to lure you in and keep you in till you are in debt with an arm and a leg. I need to start thrift shopping more often. It is good I know it because I have see the things that one can find. The only down side is that you might only be able to find one or two things at a time so that will keep you discouraged. That is exactly what happens to me, but if you are able to keep in your mind while you shop the thought of knowing that you can always come back and that there will always be more stuff then you are golden. Your wardrobe will be full in no time. ;D
Ok so finally going where I meant to go with this post. While shopping at target I found these ties and liked the red one because i have always liked red and the that flannel patter has always been a fav of mine. But the things here is that for some reason I instantly felt attracted to green-blueish one. Green has never been my color, lately though I been reaching out of the comfort section of my crayola section of colors and dipping into others sections. So for some reason if I had more money and I had to pick just one I would have gone with the green-blueish one or just simply get both. ;D
So later today I went shopping for a planner for school. Given that Target and Office Depot had nothing I liked I went to the only place in this world that has the good looking useful planners… Barnes&Noble. I was able to find (by help of a not so happy Barnes&Noble worker) these two planners.
And then it was déjà vu all over again. I instantly like the red one because I thought it would be me, given that I love red things and the pattern. But the green-blueish planner (which actually is more blue than green but the pic does not help) had a hold of me from the moment I saw it. It spoke to me as a more classy more put together decision. It was a more discrete planner yet it made a statement when you looked at it.
So after consulting my sister which said to take the green one and consulting twitter of course. I took the red one. Some ppl on twitter said the red one even my bff said the red one bc it reminded her of me. In the end though the green planner was bought given that I liked it and the majority on twitter agreed.
Later on that night I came to the realization that this had been my own Sophie’s Choice.
And that is how Sergio C’s it!
